# AREventListener

A function that is linked to an [AREventTarget](ar-event-target.md). It is called as soon as that [AREventTarget](ar-event-target.md) receives an [AREvent](ar-event.md) of a specific [type](ar-event-type.md). The event is passed as an argument.
